Collier County Bridge Program Study, Collier County, FL – Included the inspection and evaluation of 66 bridges. The final report provided recommendations for rehabilitation and/or replacement for each bridge with estimated costs. It also provided recommendations that included a prioritization listing for the bridges for maintenance repairs and replacement. The report will be used as a tool to assist the County’s project managers in the programming of their 5 and 10 year bridge program.

Lee County Complete Streets Project, Lee County, FL – Bridging Solutions was hired by Thomas Marine Construction, Inc. to perform the design of 2 pedestrian bridges that provided access for a new multi-use path over wetland sloughs on this design-build project for the Lee County MPO. Both bridges consisted of welded steel trusses with cast in place concrete decks supported on CIP concrete abutments founded on spread footings.

Bridgeway Villas Entrance Bridge Rehabilitation, Naples, FL - The original 75-foot span bridge was built in 1983 and consisted of glue-laminated timber beams and an 8” timber deck with concrete abutments supported on 12” diameter steel monotube piles. A new steel beam and concrete deck superstructure was designed utilizing W36X183 steel rolled beams painted a dark brown color similar to the color of the original timber beams.

Riverstone Community Bridge, City of Lakeland, FL - Bridging Solutions performed final bridge design, bidding and construction engineering inspection services for a new bridge over a wetland conservation area in the Riverstone Community in Lakeland, Florida. The bridge is a continuous cast-in-place (CIP) concrete flat slab bridge that consists of 5 – 35-foot spans with a total length of 215 feet. The bridge is supported on CIP concrete bents supported on 18” prestressed concrete piles.

Babcock Ranch Entrance Bridge, Charlotte County, FL – Bridging Solutions prepared the final design plans and specifications for the entrance “faux” bridge to the new Town of Babcock Ranch off FL Route 31. It was constructed by Thomas Marine Construction. The bridge consists of 154 foot long by 16 feet high steel trusses supported on four, 10 foot wide by 5 foot long, cast in place concrete spread footings. The bowstring type trusses were modified to include the Babcock Ranch logo.

City of Naples Bridge Repair Projects, Naples, FL - Bridging Solutions provided inspections, construction plans and construction inspection services related to maintenance repairs for 3 bridges. The bridges were located on Park Shore Drive, Harbour Drive and Galleon Drive within the City of Naples. The repairs included concrete patching repairs, expansion joint replacements, asphalt milling and replacement, waterproofing membrane installation, sea wall repairs, fencing and rip rap replacement.
